On Tuesday 8th February, we had a virtual visit from author, columnist and television presenter Sathnam Shangera. We had approximately 30 students from across year 10, 11 and 12 attending the library at lunchtime and beyond to hear Sathnam talking about his book, the impact of the British Empire, the racist abuse he has received and how he has dealt with it and the importance of being aware of our nation’s past. He was truly inspirational and the students found it an enlightening experience.
