Teacher of Science - Maternity Cover .5 from September 2019
The Governors of this successful Catholic Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and dynamic part time teacher of Science for September 2019 to cover a period of maternity absence. The successful candidate will join a large, well-resourced Science department with supportive teaching staff. At GCSE, both Triple Science and Double Award GCSE’s are taught; it would be desirable for the successful candidate to teach to A level. The school is a STEM hub school and the successful candidate would be able to contribute to the extra-curricular activities of the Science department. The post would suit either an NQT or an experienced teacher. A Chemistry specialist would be preferred.
Teacher of English - Maternity Cover .6 from September 2019
The Governors of The Catholic High School, Chester are looking to appoint a Teacher of English from September 2019 The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and well qualified English teacher who plans and delivers stimulating lessons that enable students to develop their reading, writing and spoken English. The Catholic High School, Chester converted to Academy status in March 2013. We have a well established reputation in our local community for high expectations. Our results in English are excellent at both GCSE and A Level, and the department is a lively, stimulating and supportive place in which to work.

At the Catholic High School, Chester we offer two fortnight periods of work experience at different times of the academic year.
If you are interested in gaining work experience at The Catholic High School during one of those times, please contact the school for an application form. If this application is successful we would require you to have a DBS certificate, which can be organised through the school at a cost of £65.*
