The PA (Parents' Association) has two main aims – to organise enjoyable social events, and to raise money in support of the school.
It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together and is open to all parents, carers and school staff, even those who only have a small amount of time available to get involved.
The PA fundraises for the benefit of every child at The Catholic High School and it is a great way for parents and carers to become more involved with the school. Most recently they raised sufficient funds to purchase a new minibus for the school, and their project for the coming year is to but a new lighting rig for the main school hall.
The current committee includes Mrs Reynolds (chair), Peter Johnston (treasurer) and Ms Trevisan (secretary), with a great supporting group of parents who supply ideas and person-power at events. They are always looking for new volunteers to join the group, either as committee members or as volunteers to help run events.
Events planned for the Autumn Term include a cheese and wine social for new parents in September, meeting parents at the School Open Evening, providing the refreshments for the Year 7 welcome Mass, and the Carol Service in December. The annual PA Dance night is a highlight in the school calendar.
